Exploring the Writing Workshop

Hi guys, It is almost the end of our Blogging session. I hope it has been fun and inspiring. This blog is about "The Writing Workshop". Again this is quite new to me. However I considered myself quite fortunate to have given the opportunity to learn about it. In a nutshell, three strategies can be used when using the writing working: Teaching Time , Writing Time and Sharing Time. It can be in the form of Mini lessons . As teachers we must realize that NO students are alike and therefore they will be at various stages in developing their writing pieces. Hence teachers will be in engaged in various activities during the writing workshop for example circulating among students and offering support or modelling adult writing. As teacher we normally assign writing tasks to children however we also tend to fail to teach them how to write.
